The Lab Technician is responsible for sampling and testing manufactured alumina product, then recording and communicating the test results.

Responsibilities: Understand the appropriate protocol for sampling and take samples as required by documented procedures Operate test equipment in a laboratory setting Record all test results in spreadsheets and other computer systems as appropriate. Promptly communicate test results as outlined in the procedures Assist in preparing Certificate of Analysis documents Perform Non conformance Management tracking. Work within SAP Build Excel Spreadsheets (Tracking Sheets) ICP, Sympatec, Gemni, and Flame Photmeter Testing Responsible for the investigation and validation of root causes from customer complaints Works closely with operations Responds to E-mail daily Minimal amount of scheduling required Maintain all laboratory equipment Perform general housekeeping and maintain inventory samples as required by operating procedure This will be a rotational shift SKILLS:
Education Level: High School graduate or GED, Bachelors Degree preferred Qualifications Needed: Minimum 2 years experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment, laboratory experience preferred Computer literate Excellent mathematical skills Good Verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with co-workers and management Working knowledge of ICP Analytical Equipment and other Equipment Able to write legibly and maintain accurate records Analytical Skills are required Must meet physical requirements of the jobEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
