Quality Superintendent
Job DescriptionJob DescriptionAbout the role Build and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure that Syrah Technologies delivers high quality products.
Assist with maintaining ISO9001 Certification.
Responsible for the design and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure that quality standards are met during production.
Define and oversee sampling frequency procedures.
Develop, implement, and maintain an Audit Program for the site to assure process compliance to standards, in a continuous basis.
Responsible for the detection of quality variances and assure QMS complies with customers' Quality Manuals.
Drive change utilizing Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
Develop and implement all Quality tools (SIPOC, PPCP, PPAP, Risk Matrix, PDCA, RCA, etc.
) to support Critical Processes are In Control and Capable.
Ensure that established manufacturing inspection, sampling and statistical process control procedures are followed.
Assures compliance with Safety, Health & Environmental rules, policies, and procedures.
Work closely and effectively with functional teams to ensure we meet customers' expectations.
Develop and revises standard operational procedures and working practices.
Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice manufacturing vision, strategy, policies, processes, and procedures to aid and improve operational & quality performance.
Drive daily management of the quality function and drives the development of action plans where needed.
Assure Certificate of Analysis are accurate and represent the production samples.
Control calibration status and reliability for all Laboratory equipment.
Maintain inventory of all Lab supplies and consumables at the right level, avoiding shortage and minimizing cost.
Promote positive relationships between with Lab and Production teams.
Desirable skills and experience include:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, preferably in Engineering.
Minimum of five (5) year experience in quality, manufacturing, or engineering, leading QMS program Minimum of two (2) year experience in a team leadership and/or management role.
Working knowledge of ISO, ASTM standards and test methods.
Systemic and standardized mindset, capable of developing objective/concise systems.
Strong analytical skills, capable of translating data into useful information.
Capable of translating Standards into simple Shop Floor systems.
Experience working in a Lean Manufacturing environment (preferred).
